• Hi. We’re closely monitoring our page speed via GTmetrix and we always get a recommendation of “Avoid bad requests”. Upon checking, these bad requests are all generated by the BWP Minify. As soon as we flush the Minify cache, the bad requests disappear and our page speed score improves. But a few minutes later and there’d be a new batch of bad requests all due to outdated Minify links. So we flush cache again, score improves again, and a few minutes later the cycle repeats.

Is there a way around for this? Is this something we need to sacrifice if we want to keep using BWP Minify?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

    Sandy

Hi Sandy, thanks for trying BWP Minify out.

I’d like to help you troubleshoot this issue. But first, couple of questions:

    1. Are you enabling the “Friendly minify url” feature?
    2. Is your site hosted on WPEngine?
    3. Are you using any other cache plugins such as W3TC/WP Super Cache?

Hi Khang and thanks for the feedback.

    1. Yes, under the plugin’s Advanced Options, friendly minify URLs are enabled
    2. Our site is hosted by GoDaddy although it is a WordPress site
    3. We recently installed Autoptimize plugin to address other page speed concerns apart from cache issues (ex. issues related to above-the-fold, inline small javascript, etc.)

@sandyaaj sorry for my late reply.

I would not recommend using GoDaddy with BWP Minify (and WordPress in general). Anyway, in case you’re still using the plugin, I would like to have more details to assist you. Please kindly contact me via https://betterwp.net/contact/ .
