Can not login to WordPress getting php error

    Hi I can not log into wordpress I tired to modify my formatting.php file however before i did i copied and pasted it to notepad i made the change and then when i went to copy and paste the new file i found myself unable to login to wordpress.

    I see this above my login section:

    and i see this once i login with my password:

    I am not a html expert and I have no idea what this means. Can someone please help?
