    Hi!

I have WordPress 4.9.5 and WD Instagram Feed 1.3.1 and have just started using WD Instagram Feed after problems with another Instagram-plugin.

I use WD Instagram Feed as a widget showing my 8 latest Instagram posts on my blog.

My problem is that my feed doesn’t refresh when I post something new on Instagram. In section “Settings” I have “Check for new posts every” 180 min set, but it seems like Cache is keeping my 8 posts.

If I press button “Reset cache with Instagram data” I get the latest posts in my widget.

I haven’t found any information about the “Check for new posts” or “Reset cache with Instagram data” in the User Guide, so I don’t understand how it works.

I think my feed should refresh within 180 min after making a new Instagram post?

    Best Regards
    Johnny

    ??

    Hi,

Would you please contact your hosting provider and ask them whether Cron Jobs are enabled for your website or not?

The later is used to retrieve the new posts.

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi,

Yes, Cron Jobs are enabled for my site

After about 2 weeks suddenly my feed was refreshed with my latest posts – without me doing anything

    Hi,

We are glad to hear the Instagram Feed plugin works smoothly now.

However, if you have the issue again, please let us know.

Thanks and have a nice day!

I’m having this same issue, and I’ve verified with my hosting company that my site can use cron jobs. Any other troubleshooting I can try?

    Greetings!

Could you please navigate to Instagram Feed WD > Settings page and press Reset Cache? If that doesn’t help to resolve the issue, please try the following solution.

    1. Visit Instagram.com from your web browser and revoke access of the plugin from here,
    2. Log out from the current account signed in to Instagram.com,
    3. Go back to the WordPress administrative dashboard of your website,
    4. Navigate to Instagram Feed WD > Settings page, then press Reset Access Token,
    5. After the page reloads, click Sign in with Instagram, and log in to your account.

As the account is signed in, please reload your Instagram Feed and check if it works this time.
    Thanks!

That seems to have done the trick, thank you. Resetting the cache didn’t seem to be enough the first time.

    Hi Nicholas,

We are more than glad to hear the issue is fixed now.

    Thanks for letting us know.

    Have a nice day!
