For quite a while a problem has occured when updating plugins, and without exception when updating WP: All forms (including WPMUdev Forminator) stop working. They throw an error and the messages don’t get trhrough.
    Effective solutions:
Clear cache in Hummingbird. Or deactivate Hummingbird.
Same behaviour on about 10 sites (with similar setups)
This SEEMS like a Hummingbird problem but maybe it could also be related to caching some other way, but where? And how to handle it? Similar experiences?
    Thanks

    Hi @kjetilgf

I hope you are doing good today.

    Could you check in:
    1. Hummingbird -> Caching -> does “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” is enabled?

    2. In your Forminator form Behavior settings does “Load form using AJAX” is enabled as well and see if this helps?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Thanks for coming back to me, Kris
    1. Some forms were already set here.
I doesn’t seem totally logical, though, since the problem occurs when updating plugins, not posts or pages.
    2. All forms were set to load from AJAX
    …but we’ll give it a try.
    I’ll be back

    Hi @kjetilgf

    Thank you for the update.

Could you enable the “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” in case it is not enabled in Hummingbird?

I tried to replicate the issue following some steps:

    – Downgraded WordPress to 5.2
    – Added a Form to a page and made sure it was cached by Hummingbird
    – Tried to update the WordPress,

On my testes, I enabled Preload cache and disabled “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” to force the cache and the issue but it worked fine.

Are you doing manual updates or any automated update method?

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas

    Hello @kjetilgf ,

We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t need our assistance anymore.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards

    Thank you
I wanted to see if some further plugin updates triggered the problem again (and in between the captcha stopped working on sime sites) – but it seems to work fine now.
    Thanks for your help
