• Hi, i mentioned this bug earlier but after months its still not fixed:

spectra -> settings -> file generation -> on

install whatever cache plugin for wordpress.

see how often the generated css and js files are getting lost and your site will be shown without formatting.

Hi Mohsin, the problem exist in all versions since months/years. Not easy to replicate. I was playing around with two new installs of astra/spectra and got reminded of this issue again the hard way. I moved on from astra/spectra now, so this is just a courtesy call to you guys to fix it for other users

Whatever cache plugin you use, when switching on file generation and preload happens in the cache plugin, the link to your generated css (and probably js) file gets lost and your site has no css information anymore. As written, two fresh installs where this happened (test sites).

    best regards

    H.

    ?

As stated in your linked document (only by email, informing @privatebox111 and me about what is happening here)

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#i-have-the-same-problem-can-i-just-reply-to-someone-elses-post-with-me-too ( https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#i-have-the-same-problem-can-i-just-reply-to-someone-elses-post-with-me-too

“We ask everyone make a new topic, just for themselves, unless they are?absolutely?certain the problem is the same (like ‘I can’t log in to your service via your website!’).”

IF HE is the opinion that HIS problem DIRECTLY relates to THIS problem, why someone deleted his posts (and mine)? What an odd choice of words -> “absolutely”. Nothing is absolute in this world.

It seems to me someone is trying to obfuscate problems with spectra.

A moderator and not the developer deleted the replies.

It seems to me someone is trying to obfuscate problems with spectra.

That is completely not true at all and please try not to read conspiracy theory into a moderator enforcing the forum guidelines.

If someone else needs support then per the forum guidelines they need to start their own topic.

That link explains it but very often when people insist their problem is the same, it is not. Starting their own topic with their own specific details to their own installation is a better way for the other user to get resolution to their problem.

Well, isn’t this a strange situation?

Context: After weeks of my site displaying without proper styling—and after spending hours searching through various support threads—I finally noticed a pattern: it seemed as though the generated CSS file was disappearing from my site. In my case, logging in, re-saving the site, refreshing, and clearing the cache (often in different orders) restored the CSS and resolved the issue.

Following holle75’s advice on this post, I turned off the “File Generation” setting in Spectra. I have since monitored my site (using incog mode etc), different devices etc, over the next day, and I can to report that my site has remained running normally.

It seems the problem as described by holle75 was right, and what I needed to solve the problem that had plagued my site for weeks.

However, I also want to address an important point regarding forum moderation. I noticed that my posts—and those of holle75, who was trying to offer detailed troubleshooting insights—were deleted. It’s quite concerning that deleting these posts might remove valuable context for users encountering similar issues. Not only does this take away potentially helpful information, but it may also inadvertently actually fuel “conspiracy theories” (your words) about the problem being hidden or ignored.

Surely our shared insights can only strengthen the community’s ability to resolve such issues more effectively and anyone facing this problem can benefit from a broader range of real-world solutions like mine.

    Thank you @holle75
