Cache becomes corrupted, not clearing on it's own

Hi,

I’ve been trying everything to get W3 to work on my site. The main issue I’m encountering is that every few hours the site becomes corrupted. Most of the content is present; it looks like the formatting (Css, java?) does not render.

The issue does not fix itself automatically with garbage collection, etc.

If I log into the site as an administrator (triggering the automated processes) it also does not fix itself.

The only thing that does the trick is to empty all the caches manually.

I have tried to create a Cron job to load wp-cron.php, but this does not help.

I am on a private virtual server on Dreamhost (not shared hosting).

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can try to get this working? Does this ring any bells for anyone?
