    Hi,

Love the plugin. We were running super cache and ran into problems with loading times on some of our larger pages as the cache seemed to clear by itself from time to time. Am using WPBakery Visual Composer for page building.

The cache builds nicely and then seems to delete with cache enabler from time to time (we have not cleared the cache manually and it is set to “0”).

It means our larger pages take 10 sec or longer to load when the cache is cleared. Would be great to get the cache stable and not resetting without our doing it.

We output to cloudflare which is set to cache everything.

Likely not a cache enabler issue but any ideas would be really appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • I’m assuming you are using CloudFlare for DNS and caching? Have you tried temporarily disabling the CloudFlare caching part to see if maybe it is conflicting?

As you mentioned, this also happened when you were running Super Cache so it seems something else might be causing it.

Have you also tried using the advanced snippet with Cache Enabler?

Did you check if another plugin might clears this directory /wp-content/cache/ ?

    Hi,

Many thanks for the ideas. Don’t know about the plugins clearing the cache – the only thing I could see in the cache directory was the autoptimize cache folder. Haven’t done anything to trigger the autoptimize cache clearing that I know of . . . we are having the same problem on another site on the same server so your clues of where to start looking are most appreciated.

Have put the advanced snippet in the .htacess file and will watch. Next step would be to deactivate cloudflare.

Will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks again

    Hmmmmmm . . .

Doesn’t seem to be clearing up. Looking more like there may be a plugin conflict.

Any suggestions to find out if another plugin is clearing the cache would be most appreciated. I could post a plugin list if it would help.

    thanks again

Yes, a list of plugins would help. Is this something you can easily replicate?

    Hi Brian,

    Sometimes so simple ??

Nice feature with cache enabler on the post page right under the post and status options on the right – you have a choice to clear the whole cache or just the post you are working on.

    Working like a charm!

Thanks to everyone for the help – much appreciated.

Wow, great glad you got it figured out.

Good reminder for myself to not jump straight to advanced options ?? Definitely sometimes the simple things.

    Have a great weekend.
