Cache dir empty – directory manual creation

If the cache directory cannot be created in wp-content, it will be created in your system temporary folder (/tmp). In any case, it looks like PhastPress is working well on your site, so there’s nothing to worry about. ??

Where the cache is stored probably won’t make any difference for PhastPress’ functionality.

But the cache will be recreated in wp-content automatically if the cache directory in /tmp is deleted.

1. Make sure the wp-content/cache directory exists.
2. Make sure that it is writable for the web server (CHMOD 777).
3. Remove the automatically created cache directory in /tmp. If you have SSH on your server, you can run this: rm -rf /tmp/phast*

There is no cache directory in /tmp

The Phast. is nowhere to be found

I am planning to add some functionality to PhastPress to make it possible to see where the cache directory is and to move it. I will let you know when this is done.
