  • Hi enodia,

sometimes it could be the settings of wp or the plugin and sometimes its not compatible with your template.

if you could some more details maybe it would help.

    Thank you!
I can’t really give you more details, as I’ve just installed the “Recent Facebook Posts” plugin and nothing else!
That error appeared in the plugin settings page right after i’ve activated it! ??
Is it nothing to do with the folder permission?

    Giulia

that a valid point, please check the folder permission only if you have changed it or else its ok..

as per my guess its your template which doesnt except the plugin. how many different types of plugins have you used in your site?
did anyone of it give you any error? if not then my guess is correct.

    let me know,

I use 5 plugins in my website, plus this one!
At this point I think you’re right, it’s a template issue, that doesn’t accept this plugin in particular ??
In your opinion, is there anything I can do?

Thank you for your support and patience!

    Sorry for the double reply!

Use some other plugin for the same function. there will be many more..
the simple option i could give you is in add plugin you will see favourites out my id (seowizardaltaf) there in username and you will see a list of things i have used.

    Hi Enodia,

The error is caused because the cache directory does not exist AND the plugin can not create it itself because it doesn’t have the correct permissions to do so.

To fix this, you can take the following steps.

    1. Open a FTP program and connect to your webserver.
    2. Browse to /wp-content/plugins/recent-facebook-posts/
    3. Create a directory named cache and set the permissions to 755 (usually: right click > set permissions) OR change permissions of /recent-facebook-posts/ and all underlying subdirectories to 755.

    I hope that helps.

    Good luck, Danny.
