I have run into an issue whereby the cache logs are not emptying even though I empty the cache.

My hosting service sent me an alert about my site being up against memory usage limits. One of the areas they reference was the cache and they told me where to look.

When looking at the site in FileZilla I found a folder named 0000 in it are 4 log files. varnish
    pagecache
    minify
    dbcache

The pagecache, minify and dbcache are quick substantial files — several gigs. When I go into W3 Total Cache in the WordPress dashboard and click the empty all cache. Nothing happens to the size of these log files in Filezilla. Anyone able to tell me why?

I find that weird. Even weirder is that the dbcache.log file is 24GB when the total for all of the databases is on 48MB. How can this be?

Can I delete the 0000 folder and have the folder and logs regenerate themselves?

When debugging is turned on, we log everything that is happening to allow for testing where something is going wrong, which results in a huge file if used in production environments and in this case the empty all cache won’t help. You either manually delete them or turn of the debuging mode and then delete those files.
