Cache miss despite every site crawled?
-
Hey there,
I have a crawler running and it shows every dot in green.
But when I open my website I always get a cache miss on first load.
Only after I visited a page manually I get served the cached version. As I understand it shouldn’t be that way.
How can I fix this?PS: After I purge all caches the crawler still shows everything in green and sits idle. Shouldn’t the crawler show everything in grey and restart immediately? Or do I need to start crawling manually?

Hi,
no , crawler won’t re-start immediately , and the status (the color dots) are not real-time , it is the status on last crawler run it did
the crawler will only start again after it reaches next “crawler interval” time
Best regards,
Thanks for clarifying!
However, the problem remains:
– I purge the page
– I start the crawler
– after that every dot is green or blue
– if I open a page it shows page miss (however, after THAT the page loads from cache, even on a different device)Any idea why this happens?
Hi,
pleas enable the debug log to ALL IP , then run crawler , after it finishes , check file
/wp-content/debug.purge.log
see if there is any purge happenedBest regards,
Thanks, I checked. There are multiple instances of a cache purge.

I am sorry – I can’t make anything out of this. Any suggestion what I should do?
Is it purging just because of this CSS bug?Hi,
98d_UCSS.b3ac664ababa96387f2c5d84e16666cc
it has
UCSS
tag, , the ucss generation is async , which means it is generating in background , so this is what happenswhen you access a page , it doesn’t have ucss, page gets cached , and ucss put in queue in background , once the ucss is generated, it will purge this page in order to insert the ucss into it
you can either disable ucss , or wait for all ucss generation complete , then it won’t purge page like this anymore
Best regards,
Hey qtwrk,
thanks for your reply!
I fixed the CSS bugs and tried it again: made no difference.
Then I disabled all CSS optimizations and tried it again. But still: same problem.Immediately after crawling the whole site there’s no cache ready. Only if I visit a page manually a cache is generated that’s valid even on other devices.
In the log is no purge after the crawling documented now.
Any idea what’s causing this and what else I could check?-
