    Hey,
One of our clients has just mentioned a potential issue. They’ve set a post to draft, but doing so didnt clear the cache so the post was still showing up on the archive page. – is that expected?

Also our clients only have the ‘Author’ role, so they don’t have the ‘Clear cache’ option so they couldn’t manually clear the cache.

Are there any ways we could fix either of these issues – the way they run their site they often set a certain post type to draft and then re-enable it..

  • Did they double check that the Cache Enabler settings were set to Clear Cache: Completely instead of just Page Specific?

Additionally, you should be able to use the User Role Editor plugin to give Authors the ability to clear cache by ticking the All > Core > General > manage_options checkbox.

Yeah the settings are to clear complete cache but as far as I’m aware just setting a post to Drat status doesnt clear cache – also when a post is set to draft the option to choose between clear all or page specific isnt shown at all.

Ah yes, thought a plugin like that would be the answer for giving Authors the correct permissions – I’ll look into that thanks.
