It is possible.

If you are using a NetworkFirst or StaleWhileRevalidate strategy, then opaque responses are cached. See https://developers.google.com/web/tools/workbox/guides/handle-third-party-requests#workbox_caches_opaque_response_sometimes

If using a different strategy, then you’ll have for force it by enabling the CacheableResponse plugin in Workbox: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/workbox/guides/handle-third-party-requests#force_caching_of_opaque_responses
