• I installed wp-cache plugin ages ago and now want to delete…. Ive changed my config file, even taken out the redirect in setting erased the plugin and the files…. but the one thing I cant erase is the advanced-cache FOLDER…. it says there is nothing in it but it wont erase, I cant change permissions and I cand even rename it…. I think its responsible for a problem I am having in that with IE my server keeps serving pages from ages ago even though theyve been changed. Can you help me erase this folder and perhaps give me an insight on why my wp is server IE old pages? I have no other cache plugin and all plugins are turned off.

adding to the above…. I tried just completely removing anything from wordpress from my server and am left with wp-content folder, and inside of it Advanced Cache and Themes…. how do I erase these things?

I would make a folder at root called something like XXXX
Drag that problem folder into it.
Then either ignore that folder or – if you have a nice host who knows what they are doing – ask them to nuke it.

It could be an ownership issue and if the server owns it you cannot do anything in the majority of cases.
