    Hey Cory friend ??
Just wanted some advice on the following if you could please:
I just created another back up file and got the following warning:

    ….content/cache’ (1.7MB)
Cached data will lead to issues at install time and increases your archive size. Empty your cache directory before building the package by using your cache plugins clear cache feature. Use caution if manually removing files the cache folder. The cache size minimum threshold that triggers this warning is currently set at 1MB.

Now I’m using W3 Total Cache and after I got the warning I went back a step and ‘cleared all caches’ using the W3 plugin.
Went back to re-run the scanning of back up and the same warning appears. I tried it several times but to no avail.
At the end, I built the package regardless! Before I did that I de-activated the W3 Cache plugin to see if I would still get the same warning and I did.
The strange thing was that when I went to re-activate the W3 plugin, it would say it was activated when in reality it wasn’t.
So, I deactivated Dublicator, and sure enough the cache plugin activated successfully. I also re activated yours after that and it activated fine..!

Sorry for long message..I thought it’s best to know what’s going on with this. I wouldn’t want to manually delete the cache via cPanel since I don’t know what I’m deleting really. Should I be concerned?

    Thanks for your time…

The scanner is really more of a warning system. Technically they could all fail and you can still get off a good build. As far as the cache is concerned it best to try and have it removed but if you can’t then in most cases its OK. If at install time you do run into an issue then you may go back and try to force the clearing of the cache, which will be different for the various plugins.

    Hope that helps~

    Ok thanks Cory!
I wouldn’t want to manually empty any cache folders that could be critical from within cPanel. I will leave it for now!

Right now the only place it looks is here /wp-content/cache/ so only data at this location will be calculated. With some cache plugins its safe to remove data from that manually if you want…

    Cheers~

Ok, what I will do then is install my latest back up locally and empty it there. If it behaves fine I will then perform the manual emptying in my live site too ??

    Cheers Cory ??
