• Hello,

We have been having a multitude of issues for about a month
-the front page on various devices and PC’s, on various browsers, shows a plain and jumbled mess when a user searches and click’s on our artist links.
-the front page on various devices and PC’s, on various browsers, users will see a cache’d page from October of 2012.

I know this info is fairly vague, just wondering if anyone recognizes this with 3.5.1?

Will be updating to 3.5.2 hopefully to resolve the issue. Thanks in addvance for any feedback.

    BTW… my site info…

    https://www.musicemissions.com/artists/Bread

I am showing a fatal error for one of my banner’s, but Im not sure that has something to do with this.

One thing I’ve noticed is when one of my artist pages is numbered, rather than named, it shows up

    https://www.musicemissions.com/artists/index.php?artist_id=2189
this ^ will produce actual page.

    https://www.musicemissions.com/artists/Still+Life
this ^ brings us to erroneous page page

Yet both are the same page…

HELP PLEASE, my writers and readers are angry!

    On my new albums page.

“Error in query: SELECT id, album_title, albums.artist_id, graphic, release_year, purchase, label, format FROM albums, categories WHERE albums.artist_id=categories.artist_id AND artists.id=albums.artist_id AND artists.id=categories.artist_id AND cat_num=’3′ ORDER BY created DESC LIMIT 0, 30. Unknown column ‘artists.id’ in ‘where clause'”

I think there’s a lot of problems going on with this site and no, upgrading to 3.5.2 won’t fix them, though you should absolutely do the upgrade as soon as possible because you’re several versions out of date, and it’s a security risk.

    https://validator.w3.org/ shows 72 errors.

There’s some odd code on your home page including this line of JavaScript:
    document.write("<scr" + "ipt type=\"text/javascript\" src=\"https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js\"></scr" + "ipt>");

That’s just bizarre; it should be document.write("script type= etc. SORRY – EDITED TO SAY THAT THAT’S ACTUALLY MAY BE CORRECT ACCORDING TO THIS: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/236073/why-split-the-script-tag-when-writing-it-with-document-write

I’m clearly no javascript expert so maybe that code is OK.

You may want to deactivate all the plugins you’ve got installed and then re-enable them one by one to see which ones are causing you problems (do this after you upgrade though, that’s important).
