• I love this plugin a lot, but I have noticed one issue.

In premium and free versions, views for cached pages are not being counted. I’m not sure how logging works in this plugin, but maybe a call to admin-ajax or something would help. Consider adding a toggleable option of some sort to ensure logging even when pages are cached?

Knowing what is being viewed is the most important feature for us and this is causing it to be underreported.

    Hello @deraxia

I am glad that you like this plugin.

Indeed, when the web server serves a cached version of a page, “WordPress” is not even aware of that request, therefore our plugin can’t keep a log of that view.

The only way to capture such activity is to have some sort of script that is triggered on the page, something that works similar to how Google Analytics and other similar solutions work.

However, you’d have to manually add such script to your website theme. Is this something you would be interested in?

Thank you for the reply. I’d definitely be interested in trying this. The biggest advantage of WP Activity Log for me over similar plugins is the ability to accurately see what users are looking at, which I have not found in any similar plugin.

    Hello @deraxia

We will be discussing this idea internally and will certainly be looking into the different options there are. However, please understand that at this stage I cannot confirm that it will be surely done and / or when.

Thank you for using our plugin. Please don’t forget to rate the plugin. These reviews really help us.

    Have a great day.
