    Hello,

We are currently experiencing an issue where our users are required to refresh the page to see the correct content.

I have verified that the pages are not cached, and that anything under the LMS section of our website is not included in the caching system we use.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello

I am having a lot of issues and I am using SiteGround.
Their support told me to hire a professional, because there is nothing they can do.
I already tried to hire a few, but after I explain what’s happening, they always says they can not help.

So… I am sincerely hoping you can solve this issue directly with SiteGround.

    @tiziano1,

Are you hosted on SiteGround by chance?

    Hi Thomas,
Yes and no. I probably should have said that in my initial post here.

Anyway, this past weekend I migrated from Flywheel to my SiteGround server. Then I had the problems the others mentioned. Since I have disgruntled students, I switched the DNS back to Flywheel late last night.

SiteGround support really tried to help (so did Lifter’s). But I don’t think the support tiers my issue reached knew about the info you’re passing on in this thread.

Ultimately I might try migrating again, but I need to get some SiteGround trust back. They host many of my non-Lifter sites already, and those site work well. Just not sure about this phantom caching issue.

I said it before in this post but no one care to try! I’m no expert when it comes to the server side but taking a look at the .htaccess file worth the effort, As I remember the SG optimizer adds a lot of rules into it, maybe I’m wrong.

Yep. First thing I did after deactivating and removing SG Optimizer and WP Rocket was to get rid of their htaccess rules.

    Hello everyone and @thomasplevy

Well, my students are crazy because the problem is going on for about two months now.
So I decided to make a test: I created a new website without ever activating cache and SG Optimizer.
The last video at this link https://photos.app.goo.gl/6CLWz9J3HBaP7e6N8 will show you how it did not worked.
I already sent this video to SG support, but wanted to show you both because it may clarify a few things.
It is a new website, so I think there is less users, less files that can be in the way of the solution. Also I was able to replicate the problem (at least one of the problems!) so I believe this is helpful either.

Also, let me ask you: I also thought I could change my hosting. But I am afraid that when migrating the website it could also transfer the errors. Does that make any sense?
I know it is a difficult thing to solve and efforts are been made to solve it, but I don’t know how much time I can manage my angry students. So… do you believe that migrating could solve it?

    Thank you!

    Hey @0rbita
This issue gets me nerve-wracking even without me having it, I would like to take a closer look “free of charge” with temporarily account with an LMS manager role, If you’re interested and you’re in the LifterLMS’s Facebook group you can pm there, My name is “Saeed Al-Masri” on Facebook.

    Just a thought.
SiteGround told me that they use Apache on top of NGINX.

At present I’m setting up my own VPS server with a similar combination. In doing so I see that the NGINX aspects have their own caching areas that applies server-wide. I wonder if SG is not clearing those caches?

    Hello @sallory85

Thank you very much for your help!
Right now, I am exporting a few courses to my problematic students to another hosting service. It is working, altough it is a temporary “solution”.
People from LifterLMS is already studying integration with SG, so let’s first see if they can find out what’s happening.
    Thank you anyway!

@tiziano1 A server setup gave me illusions at night a while ago, LOL
I’m thinking of Kinsta hosting instead of setting up a server, will see.

@0rbita No problem, please keep us updated if any new things arise!
