Caching like every hour- set to preload every 720 minutes

Just want to check. Since we turned on WP Super Cache- the site has been running very smoothly, but I’m getting emails every few hours that cache pre-load has started, or stalled, or has completed.
I have it set to 720 minutes. It shouldn’t be happening this fast, should it?
