Caching Posts process stops with 1 post left – how to troublshoot / fix?

    Upon running the Related Posts for WordPress installation wizard, 154 out of 155 posts have been successfully cached, however 1 post is not getting cached. I’ve kept the window open for over 12 hours to allow it to complete, however it appears as though that’s unlikely to happen.

    I am running this on a local server, however I will be uploading the site to a remote staging server today if that helps.

    Can you help me troubleshoot this – is there a way to find out what post is not caching, or is there some other way to fix this?

  • Hey Melissa,

    To debug this issue, can you please first make sure you are using the latest version of our plugin and then switch to default WordPress theme and disable all plugins except ours and test again?

    I’m having the same issue and have tried running the installation wizard on twentysixteen with only the Related Posts plugin activated. The install still hangs with 1 post left. I’m running on an IIS server with the latest version of WordPress as of when this was written.Relates Posts for WordPress Stuck Installation Wizard

    Hey @ crisaba,

    Please note we have not tested our plugin on an IIS server so we would not be able to assist you much. If you have error logs enabled, please check if any errors related to our plugin is logged.
