    Hello again!

We are having a caching issue. We are using PeepSo for our social network at https://haha.bg
However, it appears that Super PWA is conflicting with the social notifications of PeepSo – it says you have notification (red circle with number on the notification icon) however, when you click there are no notifications.

The problem stops when I turn off the Super PWA plugin and then uninstall the service worker registered by Super PWA. However, when I turn Super PWA on again, the problem starts over again.

PeepSo are currently trying to help me resolve this and they have some questions for Super PWA:

    “Hi Damyan,

We will try to find out if we could add a workaround for this problem on PeepSo side. But meanwhile please ask the developers of SuperPWA plugin how their caching mechanism works. Also why the response of the AJAX notification request is loaded from the browser’s cache instead of getting the latest data from the server.

We will keep this ticket open for now ??
    Kindest Regards,

Could you please help me with this?

  • Hello @damyan90,

Our plugin uses Network first caching strategy. That’s the latest content/script will be loaded over Network and cache those for accessing offline.

Upon PeePSo 1.11.4 release note, I noticed a mention about SuperPWA plugin. Can you please have a look over it and check the same again?

Yes, they managed to solve it. But it is very unfortunate that you did not reply to me for nearly 20 days and PeepSo had to solve this by themselves.

From time to time problems with the cache appear and they come from the SuperPWA plugin. Don’t get me wrong. I love your plugin. But when something urgent comes it is very bad that there isn’t somebody to help.

Sorry for the delay caused. Actually my device’s was not working fine for the past few weeks and still I’m facing some issue’s over it. Due to that reason I used my friends device’s to revert to the threads here. Hopefully you’ll understand it and in future we’ll try our best to revert to the thread’s more frequently.

    Have a great day!
