    Hi,
I’m on bluehost (shared) and I’m trying to setup my website so that it runs the fastest it can (considering the host limitations).
I installed litespeed cache and I’m using cloudflare cdn (both free)
#1 do you disable inbuilt bluehost caching whenever you install a cache plugin, or do you leave it on? (possible conflicts?)
#2 is there a cache plugin that works best with cloudflare / bluehost, or it doesn’t matter?
#3 is it better to use minify within the plugin or within cloudflare?
#4 is there a conflict I should be aware of when using cloudflare + any caching plugin?

    thanX a bunch!

    1. If Bluehost already provides a server-level cache, you don’t need to do any further caching. Very bad things happen when you cache a cache, and you can actually make things slower that way.
    2. The same goes for Cloudflare, don’t cache on top of Cloudflare.
    3. If you’re using Cloudflare already, stick to Cloudflare.
    4. Yes, see above. ??

Hi there and thanks for reaching out! As James mentioned above, we advise utilizing the Bluehost Plugin, in conjunction with Cloudflare, for optimal performance.

Here are some additional details regarding the Bluehost Plugin:

I realize that now. My site works better now that I’ve uninstalled the caching plugin. ??
However, at one point, my site was really slow and someone (=support) suggested a plugin – and that’s how my quest for the grail started. (unsuccessful, ofc)
The only thing, and I’m posting this here, because there’s no info about it, at least, not until you run into problems – is that you shouldn’t activate cloudflare through a bluehost panel. Also, it’s not visible (again, unless you specifically look for some issues in advance) that you cannot disable cloudflare via BH panel. ??
Another thing is that I got a warning (by bluehost), now that I’ve done it through cloudflare:
    Please redirect your DNS
A records are not pointing to Bluehost. To fix this, please log in to the DNS provider associated with this domain. Then redirect your A record to point to Bluehost IP – which is precisely the one I have in cloudflare. So, that’s a bit confusing (my site is up an running). ??
