Calculated disk space seems too high

    Hi there,
    I searched the forum but didnt find the right answer.

    I wanted to create a copy of a liv page – but I am unsure if the displayed data is correct.
    Once I backup my entire website – it comes (zipped) to around 400 MB but WP Staging asks for 2,4 Gb – and states that there are only 680 MB available…

    But it gets really strange when I deactivate folder after folder (the ones to clone) – even the big ones such as ‘uploads’ etc… and nothing changes when I check the disk space again… I always get the same disk space values..

    any idea what I am doing wrong?

    The plugin is calculating the total size of your website uncompressed. It does not take into affect when you exclude certain folders.
    And yes, the total size should be correct more or less in terms of rounding errors

    okay. so, if I exclude the folders – I need to calculate myself weather the disk space might be enough or not?

    anyways, all files larger than 8MB are skipped by default. Than you can also exclude a few of the older media folders
