Calculated Field and Checkbox Selections

    I have been using Caldera forms for several months. I am absolutely thrilled with the options available. Thanks for providing such a great tool.

    I am finding that when I set conditions based on the selection of checkboxes in a single container the totals are not being updated until I check, uncheck and then re-check the box. I have to click the checkbox 3 times before the total is updated. And if I have 6 checkboxes in the container, I have to click each one 3 times before their selections are included in the calculated field.

    I am doing my best to copy the layout from the built in template for calculated fields. Is this normal behavior? Am I not implementing this correctly? Should each checkbox be separated in it’s own container? This is quite frustrating.

  • This works the same with numeric entry fields and conditional showing/hiding of other fields: I want to show fields when their corresponding numeric fields have a value of 1 or more, but I need to enter something twice (either keyboard entry or up/down arrows in HTML5-field) before the fields gets shown.

    I may have to find another form solution than Caldera if they don’t fix the broken conditional logic…

    After posting here, I also opened a new issue on there GitHub repo. I was able to provide them a working example they used for testing and debugging. Looks like this is going to be addressed in an upcoming release. Read more here….

    Hi Pete & Roland,

    Just wanted to pop in before marking this thread as resolved and say, thanks for reporting the issue on GitHub and putting into our workflow, that way we were able to research it and schedule a release for a fix. Thank you for taking the time to make this product better!

    Thank you. Yes, the latest update corrected the issue that I had submitted. Sorry for the delay but I only just got around to testing it Friday. I had been using version 1.5.5 as the last working version. Now I am using the current version and everything is working fine. Thanks so much for your quick and complete resolution of this issue.

    The issue I’m having is not resolved. My issue on GitHub (https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues/2008) also hasn’t been touched as far as I can tell, but I’ve settled for a slightly modified set up of the form for the time being.
