    Hi Forminator,

After the latest update, there are 2 issues I found.

The 1st issue I found critically affects my website’s backend customised APIs and requires immediate attention:

    1. Calculation Field: Setting “Round to” “0 decimals” is not working and my calculation values are showing 2 decimals in the form and submissions. Example submission: https://pasteboard.co/m8EUSG59IzvE.png
    2. Number Field: Setting “Default Value: 0” leaves a blank field in the form and requires user to manually input “0” in the field.

In my form, the “round to” “0 decimals” is used to calculate Boolean values from user inputs and is currently giving critical errors due to the lack of rounding.

    Please patch asap, thank you.

    Hi @rlohmj,

I hope you are doing well today and sorry to hear you are experiencing those issues!

Please share the link to a form page so that we can check further.

Also it would be great if you can share an export of the form which will help us more.

You can find more info on how to export the form here : https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

After exporting, please share the code using a service such as https://pastebin.com which is free to use.

Please always make sure to use such service to share the code and don’t post the code here directly as it will most likely be unusable.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

    Hi @wpmudevsupport15,

Exported form with fake email in “email notification”:
    https://pastebin.com/3jNF24t7

Unfortunately, the form is used on an internal site and I am not allowed to disclose it.

If a “live” form is required, I can put in a request to make a separate example site, but I doubt it will get approved.

    Thank you.

    Hi @wpmudevsupport15,

Upon further inspection of the submitted form data, I notice that the “default values” issue may be more serious than I initially thought.

Default values for “input” type form fields are also not captured by the form, just like the “number” type form fields.

I did not do any further inspections with regards to default values (for my other “radio” type form fields), but I suspect that the default values are not populating as they should across most, if not all, form field types available to us and should be looked into quickly.

    Hi @rlohmj

    thank you for your response!

Unfortunately, this turns out to be a bug in the plugin. Our developers are already aware of it and they are working on a fix so I hope fix will be included in one of nearest upcoming releases but I don’t have ETA yet.

As much as I hate to say that, the workaround for now (until fix is published with update) would be to temporarily downgrade plugin to previous (1.16.2) version, which you can download from here (form at the very bottom):

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/forminator/advanced/

I apologize for the trouble and I believe we’ll be able to get it fully fixed soon.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi @wpmudev-support8,

    Thank you for the workaround.

I have informed my colleagues to do the rollback.
