If I use Firefox (on a Mac), I can pick a date from the calendar field. However, if I use Safari (on the same Mac), I cannot enter a valid date or have a calendar come up in the date field.

The error message under date field (in Safari) is: This value seems to be invalid.

In Firefox, you can simply pick a date.

Hi Peter, thanks for using Caldera Forms – we really appreciate it. I was able to recreate your issue, it looks like you might’ve found an edge case. I’ve opened up a bug report here: https://github.com/CalderaWP/Caldera-Forms/issues/2674 and a developer will take a look ASAP.

It will help us get to the bottom of this faster if we can get the missing information in that report from you. This is:

That bug report is closed but the problem remains (edit: more specifically, no fix was given). Is there any way to get support for using an HTML5 date field in Safari?
