Calendar causing menu and posts to disappear

I installed The Events Calendar onto my system, however the calendar view and list view are causing conflicts with other parts of my sites. When looking at those views my navigation bar and posts areas go blank, however the calendar works fine. If I click into a single event the page displays fine.
