Since the last update I cannot update an calendar entry. Clicking update, nothing happens, like the button isn’t “connected” to updating.

  • When we look to edit or update to an existing Event etc., the Event Date is not changing, and is regularly reverting back to Today’s Date and Current Time

We are having the same issues – events cannot be changed as updating the event is no more working – downgrade to PHP 8.0 did change anything. Cannot downgrade to Version 7.2 EOL.

    Is there any help?

    Hey !
Yes, I have the same problem – after the update, the “update” button does not work in FireFox. Works fine in IE and Chrome. Please look into this bug ?? Thank you

Chrome on my mobile does not work, Safari is affected as well ??

Same thing. I try to save/update an existing event (for example, updated the event date) on my iPhone and does not save or update. I have tried on Safari, Chrome, Brave.

Same problem here. I created an event, but when editing it appears to accept the date. Save, view the event, and it reverts to the original date entered at first save. Cannot change it.

Flush cache, delete cache, change theme, nothing allows a changed date to remain. Must delete event and create anew.

    Hi @cynderella ,

Thank you for reaching out and apologies for the inconvenience. The behavior (as described) seems like something that our development team is already aware of and looking into (see:?Events revert to current or swapped date after save).

Apologies for the inconvenience. We were able to pinpoint that specific browser shows Javascript Errors within the Venue Section, in the admin dashboard, not allowing to update the Events.

Our engineers are working on the solution, though there are some complexities, and it will take some time to craft and validate before release. I have added your case to our internal ticket. While we don’t have an ETA at the moment, you’ll get notified once there is an update and fix.

For now, as a workaround, you could do the following:

    1. Use Chrome Browser only for Admin Dashboard
    2. Or, Downgrade to version 6.0.2 or 6.0.3 Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions

    Best,
    Darian

Thank you, Darian, both for the info RE problem and workaround. Working.
Mine was a first-time fresh install. I appreciate the help.

Thanks Darian, the Chrome solution does not include an iPhone, correct? Cause it would not work for me.

@fscbmwcca By default, iPhone is using Safari browser.

May I ask what browser and version are you using in your iPhone?

@darian, I am using the latest Chrome version 109.0.5414.83 on my iPhone.

I could not find the Safari version but all my apps are up to date on my iPhone as well as the IOS (16.2)

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news,

Our developers have just released the Events Calendar version 6.0.7, which addresses the issue of events which have venues assigned not being able to be updated successfully on some browsers.

Please update your Events Calendar plugin to include that and other improvements over your website.

    Best regards,
