Just starting to update my site with a new theme, I try out Tonal.
Integrating the calendar-widget in the top menu/widget aera causes an issue: If you try to navigate in the calendar, this closes the overlay and if you reopen it, the calendar always shows up the actual month!

Maybe, you won’t find Tonal working on my site, as long as I’m not finished with the major changes.

Hi there – I see what you mean. The calendar is a core WordPress widget that’s not specific to any theme, so I don’t think we can change its behaviour here.

    Hi, Kathrin,
as the calendar works in normal sidebars or on page directly, couldn’t it be the script for the overlay?
Those calendars, following Google-webmastertools semm to be very often used for websitenavigation by visitors and the Tonal-overlay would be a beautiful place for it …

Thank you for your answer, on the other topic too.

    You’re very welcome.

I just wanted to let you know that I discussed this with one of our developers and confirmed that it’s not possible to change the way the calendar widget works in Tonal. You might want to choose a theme where the widget area is not in a slide-out area if this is something that concerns you.

    Good luck with your site.
