    i am using php 7.3 wordpress 5.3.2 divi 4.1 event calendar 4.9.14
so everything is updated to the most current version

I have been using the event calendar for many years – it’s great!
recently when i did updates – the calendar is no longer displayed
when i go to the page from settings ‘where is my calendar’
    a blank page is displayed

the upcoming events are displayed on the side bar – so that is functional
but when an particular event is selected the venue, organizer, map are not displayed
i disabled all plugins without success
when i change themes to 2019 it appears to work
so a compatibility issue with divi

i installed the divi compatibility plugin – with no success

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Samething for me, a compatibility issue with divi.
    <!– wp:tribe/event-datetime /–> and <!– wp:tribe/event-venue /–>
are no longer displayed on each event selected.

    @digitalain @1darrell99,

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. I haven’t yet been able to replicate it with the latest version of Divi.

Would you each be able to provide me with your system information?

Let me know if there’s anything else we need to know to replicate this issue!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jamie,
    Wordpress 5.3.2
Divi 4.2.1 (just updated from 4.1 today)
    The events calendar 4.9.14
    Php 7.3
    Jquery 3.4.1

I tried to go back to
the events calendar 4.7.3 Without success
    jquery 1.12.4 Without success

    I have disabled divi
    Minify And Combine Javascript Files
    Minify And Combine CSS Files
    Static CSS File Generation

    Deactivated
    LiteSpeed Cache

    Events calendar is at
    https://rscdsvancouver.org/calendar-events/
which only has the sidebar displayed with space for the body content for div 4.1 the sidebar was on the left so there was no main body https://rscdsvancouver.org/dance/wednesday-night-at-the-centre-5/

    https://rscdsvancouver.org/dance/wednesday-night-at-the-centre-5/
without the date- time, organizer, venue or map being displayed

I have tried all 3 default stylesheets for events templates

It has worked for sometime – so a mystery
I went back to divi 3.29.3 and the calendar is back and working
might it be linked to having and using the divi theme builder?
under theme options/builder events is disabled

What else might you need to know?

Can I deactivate, delete and reinstall The events calendar And retain the current events, venues and organizers?
    Might that help?

    Thanks
    Darrell

Hi Jaime, in my case, I resolved last night all event’s date-time and venue display. May be this could works for you also Darell. Just unchek “Enable the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events” inside event calendar setting and save. Re-check this option and save settings once again. And Vlannnn!!! All date-time and venue data appears on each event. Hope this could help someone else.

Hi Jaime, forget about my last post. As soon I reactivate CLASSIC EDITOR V1.5 (WP-plugin), all date-time and venue data disappear again. The solution for me is therefore to deactivate this plugin.
Everything is working fine now, each event showing date and venue. Regards !

    Hi @digitalain,

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear that things are working again for you!

@1darrell99- yes, if you re-install the plugin, you will retain your events. With that being said, I’d still recommend backing up ahead of doing this.

Also, can you try Testing for Conflicts to see if there is a conflict causing this issue? Can you also try switching off the block editor (if applicable) and see if that makes a difference?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jaime,
I have the block editor disabled (tried enabled and disabled)
    i reloaded wordpress 5.3.2
i have disabled all plugins with no success
enabled plugins and went to theme 2019 – works
rolled back div to 3.29.3 – works
so the conflict is with div 4

i am having trouble with reinstalling the event calendar
    error occurs
    currently attempting a manual install

might there be an issue with the existing events, venues and organizers?
how do i setup a fresh start for the event calendar?

    Hi @1darrell99,

Thanks for the update. So are you seeing this issue with the most recent version of Divi, but not a previous version?

I wasn’t able to replicate the issue with the most recent version of Divi, so I’m wondering if there’s something else going on.

You can also try downloading a fresh copy of The Events Calendar and manually update that way.

You may also want to enable WP_DEBUG and share any error messages that you may see.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jamie,
correct a older version of divi works and the new version (with the theme builider) does not

yes i have installed a fresh copy of The Event Calendar
and a fresh copy of of Divi
    reinstalled wordpress
    with no success

    i have enabled wp debug
where do i find the log to send you?

    thanks

    (@jaimemarchwinski)

    Hi @1darrell99,

If you added define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true ); to your wp-config.php file, then you will find the debug log at yoursite.com/wp-content/debug.log.

Can you also confirm that this issue still occurs with only divi and the events calendar installed? (meaning no other plugins)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jamie,
i have added that line to bottom of wp-config.php file
i have wordpress installed in a separate folder
but no debug.log file is present

yes i have desiabled all plugins except events calendar
with div at 4.2.1 does not work
with div at 3.29.3 does work
not i have created with divi theme builder global pages for
    default, home, posts
which is not present with the older divi version – which works
and is present with the new divi version – which does not work

    thanks for your ongoing assistance

    Hi @1darrell99,

Okay thanks for that explanation. One more thing, would you be able to record a screencast of the issue occurring so that I can take a look?

Also, you can find your system information under Events < Help.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi Jamie,
good news- with the recent divi update – the event page now displays the details, organizer and venue

but the page with the calendar does not display anything
there is a sidebar on the page – which does include a widget for the next 5 events
    https://rscdsvancouver.org/calendar-events/

not sure how to embed the screen shot into this message box

the body only contains the shortcode
    [tribe_events view=”list”]

    the calendar is not displayed
    only the shortcode

i must be doing something wrong?

    thanks
