Please define: “Drop the Event Geek calendar widget into a widgetized area”, as described in this post. I would like the calendar to appear in the sidebar, and the list of events to appear on the main body of the page. I’ve downloaded Event Geek, played with creating the calendar, and published an event or two. I used the short code to add the event list to the main content area of the page. But I’m missing something, I think. Even when I use the “sidebar template” for this page, and drag the Event Geek Calendar Widget into the Main Sidebar area in the widget administration page, the calendar itself does not show up on the page when I view it – only the list of events.

    Hi TeqToo,

By “Drop the Event Geek calendar widget into a widgetized area”, I mean drag the Event Geek Calendar Widget into the a widget area in the widget administration page.

Depending on what theme you are using, the Main Sidebar area may not be displayed anywhere on the site, or may only be displayed with certain page templates. If you add other widgets to the Main Sidebar area, do you see them show up?

No, none of the widgets show up. I think it’s an issue with the Twenty Eleven theme. However I followed the instructions I received for showing the calendar in the body of the page using a php tag on a template page, and that works great! That’s what I really wanted in the first place, but I didn’t think the calendar could be displayed other than in a widgetized area. Thanks!
