    Hi there,

On our website I use SEP, but I have two issues with it:

The first, and most major, is that the calendar page I have set up using the shortcode [event_calendar search=”false”] seems to only be showing the next five events, despite having 10 future, published events right now. Is that something I can fix?

Secondly I have the same issue that others seem to have, where having no events hides the following content on my homepage widget/shortcode. This seems to be something you have fixed for others in the past though?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @pjdj4,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    • By default, the SEP plugin only shows the latest 5 events on the calendar page. For viewing more than 5 events on the calendar page you can use the events_limit attribute of SEP shortcode. In order to view the next 10 events please rewrite the shortcode as following:
      [event_calendar events_limit=”10″ search=”true”]
    • Regarding to your second issue, Please download the class-simple-event-planner-shortcode-event-listing.php file from this dropbox link & replace it at the following directory:
      simple-event-planner/includes/shortcodes

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Regards,

    Hi PT,
That seems strange to me. I get limiting the ‘next events’ list when you first land on the calendar, that makes sense because I don’t want to list all my events in one long list there, five is enough.
But if you limit it to 5 (or 10,or whatever) it only shows that many on the calendar itself. So if I have five events in September it won’t show any of October’s events on the October page.
Surely it’s supposed to only show a certain number of events in that first ‘Next Events’ section, but still show every published event on the calendar, no?

    Hello @pjdj4,

We looked into this and found that upon adding limit it will show a specified number of events upon landing on the page and for Next months.
Our technical team will look into this and hopefully get back to any solution for this.

    Thank you for reaching us.

    Hello,

I have the same issue with the calendar. I add many events in the future but did not see it in calendar. It does not make sense to combine the limiting on next event list with calendar entries.
I’m looking forward on an update that fix this issue.

    Thanks,
    Toni
