• I’m interested in migrating an existing community site based on Joomla over to WordPress. We’re using a calendar plugin on the Joomla side that has strong support for anonymous users / public submitting events to the calendar.

The calendar plugin we’re using in Joomla will:
    1. Allow anonymous clients to submit events from the outside / external site
    2. Email us when an event has been submitted
    3. Provide an easy way to approve / reject the event (either via email or by logging into the site)

I see several people looking for the same functionality in WordPress plugins but can’t find a posting or plugin that clearly shows that this can be done. Have others found a plugin / solution that cleanly solves this problem?

Here is the Joomla calendar plugin for which I’m looking for an equivalent to in WordPress: https://dev.anything-digital.com/JCal-Pro/ I’m willing to pay a reasonable amount for a WP plugin that accomplishes the basics, but I can’t seem to find one.

I’d really like to move to WP but the calendar is a big part of our site so that’s a hurdle I need to get past.

Note: I’m new to WordPress so hopefully I’m not missing something obvious.

    Thanks! Rich
