Hello! I’m using the Google Calendar plugin in a widget, for which I’ve chosen calendar view. I’m working on my site locally, so I can’t provide a link.

I have a simple problem in that the calendar view heading (say ‘December 2014’) is squashed up against the ‘back’ and ‘next’ navigation links. In the widget space, the area for the calendar view month heading and nav links is too narrow. This said, I definitely want to keep the navigation links.

What I’d like to be able to do is change the date format in calendar view, so it says ‘Dec 2014’ instead of ‘December 2014’ (I only seem to be able to get date/time format changes to work specifically in list view). Failing that, I’d like to replace the navigation link text with arrow symbols instead. Both these things will provide the extra space I need.

If anyone can offer any pointers as to how I might achieve this – I have a feeling I’m missing a very obvious solution – I’d be very grateful. Thank you!

    Hello,

For the issue changing the next/prev links you can check out the gist we have that shows how you can use filters by adding them to your functions.php file for your theme:

For the issue of changing the date at the top – that is not currently possible without modifying the plugin code.

I would recommend youadd this as a feature request so we can make sure to keep tabs on this great idea.

You can do that here: https://trello.com/b/ZQSzsarY

Hope this helps answer your question.
