    Hi @krozycki,

    Thanks for your message!

    I see this widget on your homepage – this is a built-in WordPress calendar widget that links to default posts on the date they were published.

    To display and link to your event in the sidebar, please use the Events List Widget instead.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi.

    Thank You for the reply and explanation. Now, I understand. I thought that the Event Calendar plugin is also integrated with that default WP calendar. I removed the calendar widget from the sidebar and inserted Events List Widget you have mentioned.

    Hi @krozycki,

    Great, I’m glad to hear that worked for you!

    I’ll close this ticket for now, but if anything else comes up, don’t hesitate to reach back out.

    Thanks for using The Events Calendar!

    Hi @eeide

    If you wouldn’t mind helping me as well. With the update, it’s not showing me any events. It’s just showing me a white box with the Conservancy logo in it.

    How do I fix this?

    Hi @lpcsamanthalee,

    Sure, I’d be happy to help!

    On your site, I see an events page, but as you mentioned, I don’t see any events being displayed.

    What page slug is set under Events > Settings > General > Events URL slug?

    Please also include a link to a single event so I can take a look at your setup.

    Thanks!

    @eeide

    I appreciate you responding!

    The events URL slug is : events making the page URL : https://lakeshoreparkknoxville.org/events/

    One events URL would be : lakeshoreparkknoxville.org/events/new-ground-music-festival

    But it shows a page with a white box on it like I had mentioned before. All of the information needed is on there.

    @lpcsamanthalee,

    Thanks for those links, I see what you mean.

    I’ve spun up a sandbox site with the theme you’re using, Bravada, and it works as it should. So it seems there is a conflict somewhere on your site.

    Please check under Events > Settings > General, and verify that your Events slug is set to “events”.

    Also check to be sure your /events page is not an existing WordPress page — The Events Calendar will automatically generate this Events Calendar/archive and apply the appropriate classes to it. I don’t see any of those loading on your page.

    Lastly, check that your theme and The Events Calendar are both up-to-date.

    Let me know what you find!

    @eeide

    My Events slug is “events” and both are up-to-date. There’s no existing WordPress page either. Is there another place I can look?
