Call plugin from single.php page

Wondering if it’s possible to call this plugin from my child theme’s single.php page. Basically I’m looking to be able to display a single post then right above my footer display 3 more posts from the same category horizontally across the page, each have a thumbnail, title, short excerpt and continue reading link.

If so, would you be able to suggest the basic php I need to incorporate?
