• Hi all,
    I’ll be as brief as I can. I’m a final year student at UMIST (https://www.umist.ac.uk) studying BSc Artificial Intelligence.
    My final year project is to extend blogs to better suit the needs of online communities.
    The first step is gathering information about what bloggers like and dislike. So, i’ve put together a SMALL SURVEY here:
    https://rooreleased.no-ip.com/blogsurvey/
    I think it’ll take less than 3 minutes to fill out, and there’s only 10 questions. It’ll REALLY help me to build a solid set of requirements, so lets see that open-source spirit people ??
    Take care all, hope to include your feedback into my project.

    Moshu,
    I can remove your name from the database if you would like? I have no problems with this.
    To be honest, the names are pretty much useless to me, and I only use them as a memory-jogger when trying to locate a specific “survey”, its easier than remembering id numbers ??
    Anyway, an enhanced results page is up. Changes:
    * Can now view results by question.
    * Can now view results by person.
    * Added id number field.
    If anyone has filled out a survey, and has any problem with the data there, just drop a message here with the id number of your survey.

    I would say, remove the names and web addresses, but leave the IDs, we all know how we responded. If we want something changed, we can lookup how we answered and give the ID, name & web addresss (the name & address would be used as a sort of validation, to prevent me from changing moshu’s responses.) But then have a separate section that says “Thanks to the following for their participation….” then list the names & web addresses there.
    But then that’s just me.

    TG, that sounds good ??

    I’d keep the URLs. They provide some validity to the survey. You always get some results that say “I love WordPress, I can use it well”, and then their URL goes to a WP blog with the default CSS and one post. It’s kind of nice to see what we’ve all done with our blog and to compare that to our likes/dislikes in the blog system.
