• I’m getting this error on my site’s category pages: Fatal error: Call to undefined function codilight_lite_custom_paginate() in... This happened after I copied the category template to my child theme folder and I get the error even when no changes are made to the template. The function the error refers to is defined in a file named template-tags which is located in the inc folder of the parent theme directory. Do I need to copy the function to the child theme’s functions.php file?

I tried copying the function to my child theme’s functions.php file and I’m no longer getting the error but I’m not sure if that’s the best way to deal with the problem.
