• Hi, thank you for making this plugin. Last.fm doesn’t seem to get much love around here!

Is there any way to call this as a shortcode rather than it being a sidebar widget only?

I’d really like to be able just to call my last track anywhere on my site such as "I last listened to [lastfmshortcode-lasttrack]"

Thanks for this post and apologies for the delay in my reply – I made the mistake of not subscribing to this forum!

There is currently no shortcode, only a widget. If I added short codes, what others would you like to see in addition to your example above? Also, in your example, do you just want the same of the track? or other details such as art, date/time etc.?

No need to apologise and thank you for showing an interest in still working on a Last.Fm plugin! All the others seems to be abandoned and Last.fm itself doesn’t do anything with regards to development except keep their API working.

A super simple short code that would just let me call basic text [Artist Name, Album Name, Track Name. ] combinations anywhere in WordPress would be nice. Like this guy has on the bottom of his site – https://www.samkitson.co.uk/

I did commission someone on Fiverr to do it as a php script for me but I could never get it working within WordPress as I wanted. I’m happy to send it to you if you wanted it. I remember playing for ages trying to turn the output into a clickable YouTube search as well “https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%5BLastFM Artist Name][LastFM Song Title]”
