Can a site be moved to another host without

  • Hi, i have a site , i purchased from a guy ..the domain is pushed to me ok..problem is the guy wstill has it on his hosting and i cant seem to get him to give me cpanel access..can the site be moved from the wp login admin area? any ideas if not thanks guys

  • You can use a plugin like WP-DB-Backup to backup the database from WordPress, that’s the most important part. But you still need FTP access to get the theme and any files in the media library.

    Or you could export an XML file from the site, import it into a new site, and have it download the attachments to get the files from the media library. But that doesn’t get you the theme or any other files you may need.
