  • Within the text widget? Yes, just highlight the text desired and choose the link/anchor icon in the visual editor.

    Check out the youtube channel text widget demonstration, at about 0:30 you can see the editor area with the “chain link” icon in the toolbar.

    As far as I can tell, that inserts a video at that location in the text.

    I’m interested in a link, similar to a Button … all that is visible are the words … clicking on those words opens a site, like YouTube.

    Simply highlight the text you like to link, click the “anchor” icon from the toolbar and provide the link in the url field. If the link is a video url, WordPress’s oembed feature may kick in and render it as an embedded object. To avoid this and only link text, you’ll have to likely use a plugin to disable the oembed feature.

    It would be good if there were an option, where Text worked the same as a Button -> the URL starts after that section of text is selected.

    Is adding a non-Elementor plugin acceptable? Are there any examples?
