    Greetings,

I’m trying to help someone with their WordPress website. They didn’t create the website, someone else created it for them. That person had access to the admin account and to the hosting service, but they haven’t said anything in a long while, and they aren’t answering any emails.

The person I know has another account (her own) that can access the website and create pages, posts, etc, but they can’t access the Appearance tab. Since I can’t access their hosting server either, none of the solutions here in the forums works.

Is there a way I can ask an admin to bump the 2nd account’s permissions? Or is there anything else I can do or is the website “lost”?

    Thank you for your time.

You’ll need access to the site, either via FTP or phpmyadmin. Do you have either?

No, she doesn’t have access to the hosting server / cPanel or any of the information regarding that, unfortunately.

Short of hiring someone to hack it for you, you’re outta luck.

Alas, hackers are all busy participating in Mr Robot these days.

But thank you for your time! :\
