Can caption or text not overlap slide image

Hi @toronto-palette!

Our system wasn’t really prepared for the design you would like to have, but there is one thing I can suggest trying out. Instead of having the images in the background of slides:

you could have them in image layers:

Put them into a row/col element (delete the 2nd column, to only have one):
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1811-row
and turn on “Stretch”. That way you could insert a text layer under it:
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1832-text-layer
to have it on the bottom of the slide.

So the upside of this is, that layers won’t go over each other. The downside is, that you need to manually adjust the design.

This is a very basic request, and it is unbelievable that with some many features, there is no option to add some text above or below the images.
I have to uninstall your plugin because of this incredible flaw.

If you want to add text above or below images, you need to use layers:

Put down an image layer, then a text or heading layer. These won’t go over each other.
