Can Code Be Copied

  • Hi,

    I have just set up a page on my site to allow clients to add their own payment price. Everything looks good and appears to be exactly what I want.

    When I view the source I notice that my paypal email address can be viewed and wonder what is stopping someone copying the code and changing the email address to theirs and then email my clients asking them for a payment.

    I appreciate that this would require the person know my client’s contact details but being a web designer, I have a portfolio of work so contact details could be found by viewing my clients’ sites.

    Your advice would be much appreciated.

    I am not sure how or why would they do what you mention above. The code has to point to your site and your PayPal account. So I am not sure if anyone would want to try this type of hack, which as far as I know would not work.
