    Hi there!

At the moment, only the subscribers themselves can change delivery options in their subscription settings.

What you’re suggesting is definitely a good features for site owners to let them define a default delivery option for their site. We track this suggestion here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/785

I suggest you to follow the thread along to check on updates ??

Let me know if there’s anything else we can do to help!

    Thanks.

So, something that’s weird is that I subscribed to my own list so I could test the emails, and when I go to “Manage Options”, there isn’t a drop-down to change it to Daily or Weekly like there is for other sites I subscribe to. Is that something specific to my site? or is it somehow because I’m an admin?

    Hey

Could you check on your Manage Following page as well? You should be able to see your site subscription, then click on Settings and you should see the settings as per this screenshot.

Are you able to change the Daily/Weekly settings from there?

Yes, I can do it there. And I do seem to be correctly getting the daily digest. I want to offer this up to my subscribers as a daily digest, so if I can’t set it as a default, then I guess giving them that link is an almost adequate fall-back.

Hm. I guess there’s no way to let your user know about that (I mean, have them set it as Daily digest as opposed to whatever they have already set up per default) directly as they should manually access the same setting and change it to ‘Daily’.

The only suggestion coming to my mind is to add this “advice” to your confirmation text when they enter their email address, on Dashboard>Settings>Reading>Follower Settings>Blog follow email text.
Do you think that would help? ??

It’ll help, just not quite the solution I wanted.

Any idea why I don’t see the drop-down though? This is a screen capture of what I see on my Manage Subscriptions page: https://waylandenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Screen-Shot-2017-12-18-at-6.55.24-AM.png
