Can delete images but not add

    Today, I was able to remove 4 images on my home page to which a slider by Supsystic was installed (not Pro version). I have been able, within the last year to add a new image and put it into a position within the order. After clearing the cache and restarting my computer, I went in to add 4 new images. I see the images in the Media Library and when I choose them to add, briefly, on the right hand side, it shows they are being added, but nothing shows on my home page to reflect that. When I look at the slider itself, it still has the same number of images it had prior to trying to add 4 more. I also tried just adding 1 and that did not work either. WordPress says that plugin is up to date with version 1.8.6. I’ve tried everything. It seemed like back in June (maybe) there was a notification that this plug in would no longer be supported or it needed an update. Now it does not show that message and it doesn’t show there is an update available. A while back when others (including me) were having problems changing the order of the slider images, there seemed to be a fix. I was so glad to see that. Now, it seems there is a different problem.

    In addition, when I am within WordPress, and look under Wordfence Security plug in which the person who developed the site put in, there is a message that says, “the plugin Slider by Supsystic has been removed by www.ads-software.com due to a critical issue found March 3, 2024 at 7:40am” It knows my website still has it installed, but maybe that is why it is not working properly. Odd that it will still work to delete an image. I just maintain my site with additions in sections, keeping things up to date, but as far as any coding or replacing different components, that would be beyond my knowledge.

    Is there any other plugin that WordPress offers/recommends that would be similar to what the slider by Supsystic did?
