Can Flexibility theme run w/ WP version 2.8?

  • I’m very new in blogging and have no web skill, whatsoever.

    I just got hosted by HostGator today. I was about to install WordPress and found out that Fantastico will install version 2.8.

    I want to use the Flexibility 2 theme

    It’s website says- “Built-in threaded comments support for WP 2.7”

    Will I encounter problems if I install WP 2.8 and use the Flexibility theme given what its website said about this theme?

    I need your help very badly. I’ve been suffering from paralysis-analysis for a long time; I’m intimidated by the technical side of blogging.

  • I’d be a bit wary about it. It uses jQuery and has a number of other features that make me wonder if it will be compatible or not. I could be wrong and it could work perfectly but with so many slightly older plugins/widgets falling foul of WP 2.8, I’d err on the cautious side.
