• Hello

I love this plugin, it’s really useful and well documented, thank you!

I have a question: I’d like to add a single feed to more than one category, in order to be able to create a page like this: https://www.testarea3.searchanduse.com/class-blogs/ This page carries a widget aggregating all of the feeds in the ‘class blogs’ category, but I also want to display feeds which are subsections of this category, i.e. ‘year 1 class blogs’, ‘year 2 class blogs’, within the body of the page.

I can’t see how to do this at the moment, because the RSS multiimporter widget doesn’t allow me to aggregate multiple categories, so I have to have one single overarching ‘class blogs’ category to create the widget. But if I do so, I can’t display the individual smaller subsets of feed (year 1, year 2) within the body of the page.

The only way round it would be to add each Year 1 blog feed to two categories ‘Class blogs’ and ‘Year 1 class blogs’. But this doesn’t seem to be possible. Help!

Sorry this is such a long post, it’s hard to explain what I want to do. Thanks in advance!

Agghh, I’ve just worked out the answer to my own question, sorry! I now see that I can add multiple categories to one widget, by using ‘ctrl’ when selecting categories in the dropdown box. This is a good workaround for the problem I have of displaying ‘subsets’ of feeds within the page, and a larger set of categories within the widget.

However it would still be useful to learn whether it’s possible to add a single feed to multiple categories. I’ve just tried using the same trick (using ‘ctrl’ within the drop down box) on the ‘feeds’ page, and it doesn’t work.

    Thanks!
