Can I add eCommerce to only part of existing site?

Hi
We have a WordPress site built using a Thrive theme (ignition) and I have been experimenting with adding eCommerce to it. This would form part of our service offering on the site but is not the purpose of the entire site.
I have experimented with adding Woo Commerce and Jigoshop, but am not satisfied with the look and feel of the shop areas that overlay the Thrive theme.
Is it possible to have part of the site dedicated to the shop front that doesn’t use the Thrive theme? I read a little about child themes but that seemed quote complex and I’m not sure they are meant for that purpose anyway.
Any help the members can offer would be appreciated.
