can i allow multiple other answers

  • how can i add multiple answers to answers list? i have a list of candidates to vote for, and also allow nominations to be added to the candidates. this works as expected, but i would like to be able for a voter to make multiple nominations while limiting them to a maximum # of candidates. is this possible? i’ve set

    “Maximum answers allowed” = 8

    “Limit Number Of Votes per User” =?Yes? ? ? ?? ?

    “Votes per user” = 8

    but after 1st vote, user is blocked

    Since multiple other answers is not supported in the current version, an workaround would be to allow multiple votes per user so they can submit all their nominees.

    I just ran a test with the settings you mentioned and I was able to vote multiple times( until I reached the limit set by “Voters per user”).

    Can you let us know what version you are running?

    yes, setting max votes to 8 & Maximum answers allowed to 1 does allow multiple nominations, but that requires the user to vote for candidates one @ a time, which might be confusing/irritating to keep redirecting back to the poll & not be able to just pick all @ once…a work-around to that if there were a way to redirect on < 8, so a countdown could be displayed:

    but it still allows a voter to cast 8 votes for 1 candidate, which i don’t think we want;-) we just want the top 8…maybe prior selections could be checked but greyed on redirection?

    I don’t think it’s a good user experience to redirect 8 times ??

    as a possible workaround…

    also a suggestion: put the link to results in the name column or the votes column
